After you have created a new project, you need to save it. You can do this in two ways: for a new project or for an existing project. To save a file, you need to select the File menu and select Save As. This will bring up a window with the Save As menu. You can save your project in several different formats, including PSD, JPEG, TIF, GIF, BMP, and PNG. After you’ve saved the new project, you can select the new project and then click Open to load the project.

The main new Photoshop feature in this release is Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) which, as the name suggests, offers the ability to process raw image files. On the first sight, it does make sense to include such a function into Photoshop, since perhaps SLRs have a few settings that work better in the raw conversion process. However, I feel that people who use Creative Cloud subscriptions should not be forced to pay for a feature that is offered as a free service by their subscription card.
